It may be that this year ONLY the small size was available, however smaller-sized eggs have been available both in the cream and the caramel varieties and packaged several to a box in past years. This smaller size is what I have purchased when making Easter baskets for co-workers who I don't love nearly as much as my OWN BROTHER who I would only buy the BIG EGG for! So, world, while they may be charging the larger egg price this year for a smaller product (which I don't know to be the case), Cadbury COULD claim truth by saying that they HAVE NOT gotten smaller (this year). I also imagine the Jenny Craigers and Weight Watchers of the world, to say nothing of Richard Simmons, would ask why you really NEED a bigger egg.... And yet the smaller size is NOT new!
